My writing started in one classroom in St Nicholas

My writing started in one classroom in St Nicholas Convent, back in Alor Setar. We were asked by Sister Fidelis to write a composition about helicopters. My use of an analogy between the helicopter and the dragon fly impressed her. I was over the moon, needless to say. I was only 10 years old when I wrote that composition in English. You see I came from Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Korok, where we were taught in BM to an all English-medium convent school. That feeling of elation I will forever treasure.
